Artist West Cork
Sheila Hooks BA, ATD graduated from Loughborough College of Art & Design, England in 1973, before acquiring an Art Teaching Diploma at Liverpool. Since then the artist has exhibited her work both in the UK and Ireland whilst gaining a very wide experience of teaching art to all ages and abilities.
Sheila is also a full member of the Pastel Society of Ireland and a Professional Associate of the SAA for whom she demonstrates and writes articles.
Working mainly in pastels and watercolour Sheila paints a variety of subjects but is mainly inspired by the changing moods of the Irish landscape.
Her work is held in corporate collections in Ireland and private collections throughout Europe and the U.S.A.
